slack wax

Slack Wax is a semi-refined petroleum product obtained during the solvent dewaxing process in crude paraffin production. It contains between 5% and 30% oil and serves as a key intermediate material in the production of both solid and liquid paraffin. Ranging in color from light yellow to dark brown and typically semi-solid or moldable with medium to high viscosity, Slack Wax becomes easily workable when heated. Its primary applications include solid paraffin manufacturing, candle making, rubber and tire industries, waterproofing materials, polishes, stain protectors, woodworking, and construction sectors.
